Information workers understand their business processes; however past technologies excluded them from their executable software counterparts. AgilePoint Envision, an extended version of Visio, enables information workers to model, simulate, automate, deploy, and take control of their business processes. Though a host of BPM capabilities are added to Visio, the business user doesn’t see the difference —it still feels like putting together a Visio drawing.



In AgilePoint Envision, information workers can create or modify and deploy business processes in minutes or hours. To create a business process, simply drag-and-drop and connect intelligent, BPM-enabled Visio shapes onto the AgilePoint Envision design surface, input business rules, point to forms, select pre-created components from the AgilePoint Envision library, and assign the performer through Active Directory, LDAP, or custom user management database. Process models composed in AgilePoint Envision can be stored in Visio format, which promotes collaboration and continual improvement of key activities that cut across business units to perform collective functional goals. AgilePoint Envision also expedites process stress testing and validation with built-in process model simulation analysis to ensure the process construct is fundamentally sound prior to deployment. The design of AgilePoint Envision supports the decoupling of process from application logic. This advance enables maximum flexibility in configurability and process reuse, while preserving consistency to promote interoperability.
