AgilePoint is a best-in-class BPMS solution with a visual service oriented architecture (SOA) and metadata driven dynamic framework that is tightly integrated with the Microsoft® 2007 Office system, Microsoft Office SharePoint® Server 2007 and Microsoft Exchange® Server 2007. AgilePoint makes it easy for users to participate in business processes directly from their desktop using familiar Microsoft Office software-including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Visio.

AgilePoint leverages the new Microsoft Office Open XML (OOXML) format, allowing users to create BPM workflows directly in Word and Excel AgilePoint will also feature functions such as the Business Data Catalog that is found in Office 2007 which enables a user to close a business process loop and connect to different back-office systems.
The enhanced AgilePoint Integration for Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007 features dedicated BPM workflow templates, new document and form libraries, and an expanded usage of the people/group list function.
The AgilePoint Integration for MOSS 2007 provides a new Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Web Part that provides the functionality needed for basic Business Activity Monitoring (BAM). The Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) can be configured to display green/yellow/red icons that depict whether the KPI is in an acceptable, warning, or severe warning state.
