AgilePoint for Microsoft SharePoint Server

The AgilePoint integration for Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server delivers enterprise class BPM-enabled workflow capabilities to empower portal owners and information workers to quickly set up and deploy automation and orchestration for activities within and across multiple portals and collaborative workspaces powered by Microsoft SharePoint. The seamless integration allows businesses to leverage SharePoint as a portal, activity and document management center for AgilePoint BPM applications.

Unlike legacy desktop based workflow solutions, AgilePoint is designed for the enterprise and it lets your team of business process participants and developers to collaborate, manage, and enrich SharePoint portals and workspaces with visual, robust, dynamic, manageable, and scalable workflow. In addition, because of the AgilePoint powered workflow is inherently BPM-capable, it facilitates integration with other applications to support end-to-end cross-functional collaborations.

AgilePoint lets you flexibly associate collaboration workflow with any level of SharePoint structure, e.g. portals, document libraries, folders, etc., and easily include configurable business rules and assign participants to workflow, such as groups, roles, individuals, and systems. The associated workflow can be triggered manually, e.g. submitting a document, or initiated automatically upon the occurrence of an event. Business process steps that require manual intervention are contained on SharePoint task lists, where they can be completed or escalated, all within context of the business process.

AgilePoint records all run-time activities to maintain complete accountability and can be easily extracted for reporting and performance analysis purposes. For example, a typical document control process includes document creation, submission, category branching, review, approval, and publishing, archiving, etc.
